Study Questions

Practical answers about who the programme suits, what you need beforehand, how the modules are taught and what you can realistically expect to take back to your own footage.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Producers, editors and production managers ask us much the same things before they begin. These answers cover preparation, content, outcomes and how any file handling for your team is handled.

Who is the programme written for?
It suits video producers, editors and production managers who are tired of hunting for the right clip or export. You do not need a technical background. If you work with shared drives, project files and final deliverables, the modules apply to your daily routine.
What do I need before starting the first module?
The Asset Review and Audit module asks for access to a sample project drive, ideally a recent shoot with raw footage, project files and exports. A folder you are allowed to copy or inspect is enough. Later modules build on what you find there.
Which topics do the modules cover?
The curriculum covers asset review and audit, folder structures and naming, metadata and tagging, version tracking, access permissions and archive handover. Each module has its own exercises, and together they follow a project from first ingest to long-term storage.
Will I get a ready-made folder structure to use?
You work from an original worked example of a folder hierarchy and naming convention, then adapt it to your own shoots. It is a starting point to change, not a rigid template. Part of the exercise is deciding which rules your team will actually follow.
Is there a handover checklist I can reuse?
Yes. The final module builds a project handover checklist step by step, covering what to confirm before a project is archived. You then walk a colleague through it, which shows quickly where your notes are unclear or incomplete.
Will my team's files be handled for us?
The programme teaches your team to do this work itself. If you also want hands-on file handling, that is scoped and agreed separately beforehand, so the extent of the work, access to your drives and the way it is carried out are all clear.
What results are realistic after finishing?
You should leave with a reviewed sample project, a naming and folder scheme, a tagging approach, version rules, a permissions plan and a handover checklist. How much of this your team adopts depends on your workload and habits, so we make no promises of fixed outcomes.
Who teaches the modules?
Three instructors share the teaching. Marcus Delgado leads folder structure and naming, Priya Raman covers metadata and archive handover, and Daniel Whitfield teaches version tracking and access permissions. Each draws on years of practical work with production teams and media libraries.
Still weighing it up?

Tell us how your shoots are stored today and where files go missing. We will suggest which modules fit your team and whether any hands-on file work would need to be scoped separately.
